December, 2010 — The Capital Grill in Burlington, Mass., recently buzzed with over 30 technology professionals from around New England who were looking to expand and improve the way they handle disaster recovery and data storage.

The event, held December 16 and sponsored by Axis Business Solutions of Portsmouth N.H., showcased Dell’s cost-effective, feature-rich data storage solution Equalogic.

Why is a local company presenting a solution for a powerhouse like Dell? Axis was one of the first companies to partner with Dell through its channel program several years ago. Today the partnership has grown to becoming one of the leading companies delivering Dell’s high-caliber solutions—such as the Equalogic  Array—to the area’s leading technology professionals through such events.

Joe Paquet, VP of Axis Vendor Alliance Program explained, “This was a two-hour event in which one of Dell’s top storage engineers gave a detailed and concise presentation of the technology these companies need to protect and store their critical data.  As a result we have three companies that have scheduled tours at the Equalogic headquarters in Nashua, N.H., in order to further explore the technology and look into systems management opportunities available through Dell’s KACE solutions.”

Axis Senior Sales Executive Sue MacQuade added, “Feedback from our customers has been that the event was very informative.  Many clients that were new to Equalogic saw its true ease and found ways to implement it in their 2011 projects.  As well, our seasoned customers that own Equalogic arrays said they too enjoyed the event and learned new tips and very important information on upcoming releases. This includes a new utility that will increase the solution’s effectiveness.”

For example, she continued, “I have been working with one company for five years, directing them toward the Equalogic solution. Until they were able to attend this event they hadn’t given it serious consideration.  Now my team here at Axis is working to facilitate an on-site tour of the Dell Equalogic facility for them.”

MacQuade went on to point out “we had a great mix of clients with various environments such as HP/Netware and EMC—all who could appreciate the efficiency and uptime gained by installing an Equalogic  array.”

Added Paquet, “With data storage and disaster recovery being such a concern for today’s businesses, targeted events like these are extremely helpful to today’s IT professionals. It is because of this that Axis is committed to hosting an event like this one every quarter.”

Axis understands the business challenges we face and the goals we have in mind for our network. We don’t have to go into a lot of detail, because they make it a point to know our business inside and out.
