Axis is holding an educational seminar on cloud based backup on December 8th, at the One Hundred Club in down town Portsmouth. The event will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm and include lunch.

As backup windows continue to shrink and the problems of tape backup become increasingly unacceptable, more and more IT professionals looking to move off tape, face a confusing landscape of backup alternatives.


Tape can be replaced by straight disk, a cloud-based service in some cases, backup software deduplication plus disk, or a disk backup appliance with deduplication--but the capabilities and costs of each alternative are different.
